FRAMED ORIGINAL PAINTING - Watch It Burn
These acrylic paintings were inspired to mark the occasion of my parents leaving the farm where I grew up and where they had farmed until my dad was in his mid 70s. When I was younger, we often had a bonfire on Guy Fawkes night and my parents decided to have one last one. It served as an opportunity to get everyone together and to burn any rubbish after their mammoth effort to tidy the farm.
‘Watch it Burn’ captures the ferocity of fire at its strongest - its heat, its energy and wildness. I hope that when you view it you can hear the cracks that create the colourful sparks and feel the heat warming your face even burning if you get too close.
330 × 330 mm framed in black wood.
